3D Printed Assisted Technology

We have set up a 3D printing lab within Sinai Rehabilitation Center to manufacture custom items to help our therapists and patients achieve the best possible outcomes. While the emphasis is on our amputee population, we are printing items for use by our orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation areas also.

The equipment includes:
  • Stratasys Fortus 450mc capable of printing large volume items in ABS, Nylon, Nylon Carbon Fiber and Polycarbonate
  • Stratasys Connex3 Objet 260 capable of printing smaller sized objects using digitally mixed resins
  • Artec Scanners with Artec Studio software to scan body segments of our patients to customize the printed item to our patient’s needs
  • Solidworks CAD and Simulation Software to design the prints and to test the prints using software prior to patient use
  • Geomagic Wrap software to further modify the scanned files to customize the end print for our patients
